Sacramento mayor and city council members want to spend over FOUR HUNDRED THOUSAND of our taxpayer dollars to purchase a new BearCat armored vehicle for one of their top campaign contributors, Sac PD.
Our city's law enforcement already has excessive militarized equipment and we do not need to escalate this further! And of course they're trying to sneak this past us at a 2pm meeting, in the consent calendar (without discussion)!
Show up to city council this coming Tuesday, March 10th, and speak out against the increasing militarization of Sac PD.
The meeting starts at 2pm and they move through the consent calendar quickly. Get there early to fill out and turn in a speaker slip!
