Say His Name - George Floyd!

  • Florin Rd and 65th Street Sacramento, CA (map)

In line with actions happening across the country, Sacramento will hold a candlelight vigil for George Floyd.

On May 25th, the world witnessed the murder of George Floyd by the hands of law enforcement in Minneapolis. We know all too well that this is the culture of policing in America, and we are tired of watching it every time we turn on the tv or open our Facebook pages. We are tired of black bodies piling up in the streets, and we will not tolerate any silence that isn’t filled with saying his name. Pandemic or not, we must come together as a community to mourn this loss and continue our work to dismantle these oppressive forces and create spaces where white supremacy is not welcome.

Please join us tonight at 7, or tune in for our live that you can share. This is a candle light vigil, but a diversity of tactics is respected. You can find more information about the murder of George Floyd below.
