A Conversation on The Black Panther Party Legacy

LEGACY. As defined by the Merriam-Webster dictionary, legacy is a “gift by will..something transmitted by, or received from, an ancestor or predecessor or from the past.”

At this special event celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Black Panther Party’s founding, Carroll Fife will interview Fredrika Newton (Co-founder of the Dr. Huey P. Newton Foundation, Black Panther Party member and widow of Minister Huey Newton) and longtime Party members Katherine Campbell and Asali Dickson on the importance of continuing the work and legacy of Dr. Huey.

The conversation will highlight the importance of carrying forward the gifts transmitted by our freedom-fighting ancestors and will include special guests and updates on the Dr. Huey P. Newton National Monument.

Ticket prices are sliding-scale and 100% of the proceeds go to the Dr. Huey P. Newton Foundation: The Huey P. Newton Memorial Bust, The Black Panther Party Memorial Art Installation, and The Black Panther Party Visitors Museum.
