Stop Cop Nation with a National Day Against Police Brutality + No Cop Cities on Stolen Land

  • CURYJ Youth Power Zone 1150 35th Avenue Oakland, CA, 94601 United States (map)

The growth of "cop cities" in communities across the country must be opposed, resisted and defeated. What began as a call to Stop Cop City is now a call to Stop Cop Nation.

While many eyes are rightly fixed on Atlanta's cop city, other cities and locales nationwide are following this model. Recent research has uncovered over 48 proposed "cop cities" are underway from Hawaii and New York.

Here in the Bay Area, while facing a housing crisis and budget deficits across the region, the City of San Pablo is building a $44 million cop city. This development only further militarizes the already over-policed City of San Pablo and surrounding cities, like Oakland, that have a history of resistance.
