We will be joined by comrades from the California Immigrant Youth Justice Alliance (CIYJA). CIYJA is an immigrant youth-led organization that strengthens grassroots organizing efforts to build collective power. They’ve been on the front-lines of the struggle against ICE terrorism of immigrant communities for many years, working directly with families across the state who are fighting deportation and detention. They've also been explicit about creating solidarity with other anti-criminalization movements and about connecting the dots between prisons, mass incarceration, and detention and deportation -- which we know are all part of the same system.
They will speak to us about how APTP can join CIYJA in the fight to #AbolishICE, and how we can work together to end police terror and mass incarceration in all its forms.
